Housing

Military Housing

With the passage of the 1996 Defense Authorization Act, the Department of Defense (DOD) recognized the value of leveraging private sector capital and private sector approaches to build and renovate its military housing system. FGIC's management has been involved in many military housing facility financings over the years and is excited to provide the DOD with credit enhancement support to help achieve the most cost effective capital possible to satisfy these needs.

State Agency Housing

FGIC provides credit enhancement for single-family mortgage revenue bonds, multi-family programs and capital funding programs issuing debt through state housing agencies and large local housing finance agencies.

Student Housing

Competitive pressure to attract students has forced many universities and colleges to undergo significant capital and financing campaigns to improve campus facilities. In recent years, many higher educational institutions have chosen the privatized route to finance student housing projects. FGIC's credit analysis focuses on housing demand, construction risk and university support in structuring viable projects to satisfy student needs.
